Where am I?
I'm not sure how to explain this -and since I've only got around five minutes access I will have to be brief. But here's the thing. I've changed my job.
I'm still teaching, but I've made quite a big move. This summer when we came to St Paul for a holiday I applied for a job which I saw on the Internet. I'm teaching in a K-12 school in inner city St Paul.
The last few weeks have been... homeric.
I'm not sure quite what to do with the blog. Keep on blogging as a teacher in the USA
or start a new blog?
Anyway my time is up...
Hopefully will get connected soon.

Thought you'd been a bit quiet recently! And isn't the USA a bit far to go to avoid a 'Please Take'?
Here's hoping you get the chance to blog a bit more regularly about your experiences... I for one am looking forward to hearing what it's like for an ex-pat Scot teaching in the US of A, and I bet I'm not the only one!
Please keep in touch... and don't hesitate to drop me a line if you need some Scottish supplies! (Though I don't think I'll be able to post you any bottles of Robinson's...)
Thanks Neil! We moved into our own place tonight (camping in the house of friends since getting here last Friday). Hope to get properly connected soon.
I sent a couple of comments but they must have got eaten up.
Best of luck - it's great that you've been able to take a jump like that. I wish you all the best!
Hey Liz!
Best of luck! I look forward to reading about your experiences.
Tess :-)
Wow, I'm impressed! Good luck - and please keep writing. You may like to read Not Wrong, Just Different, a blog from a Scot exiled to the States http://blogiota.blogspot.com/

wow! What HUGE news! I certainly hope you keep up the blogging - like Neil I'd be fascinated to hear what goes on stateside from an ex-pat!
All the best :-)
You're missed very much in good ole Stranraer -Mr Keery's asking for you even though he's absconded your most of your books- but I'm definitely intrigued to read more of your blogging, as is everyone above. ^_^
Its an awesome move you've made, best wishes all the way! x
Thanks everyone for your comments. I've had serious problems getting internet access of any real length -but that should finally be changing now so hope to blog and read your blogs with more regularity now.
Wow! Fantastic! Looking forward to reading all about it. Especially since my partner is trying to convince me to do the same.
Just caught up with your news - glad to see you have managed to blog again! Best of luck for the year ahead. I'm impressed!
